In the small cobblestone town of Ember Hollow lived a purple dragon named Sorivax. Unlike the dragons in old legends who guarded treasure or frightened villages, Sorivax had a much simpler dream. He owned a small shop called Sorivax’s Lovely Little Trinkets, where he sold small and curious objects like music boxes, polished marbles, wind chimes, lucky coins, and tiny clockwork birds. Sorivax loved each item in his shop and hoped people would come admire and buy them.

Unfortunately, there was one problem. Sorivax breathed fire whenever he became excited. Each time the bell above the shop door rang and a customer entered, Sorivax would happily try to greet them—but his excitement caused flames to burst from his throat. Startled visitors usually ran out of the shop before they could even look at the trinkets. Over time, people in Ember Hollow stopped coming altogether, and Sorivax spent many quiet days alone polishing his merchandise and wishing he could welcome customers properly.

One day two humans, Jenn and Rob, decided to visit the shop. When they stepped inside, Sorivax reacted as he always did and accidentally breathed fire in his excitement. Instead of running away, however, Jenn and Rob noticed that Sorivax looked embarrassed and sad. They realized he wasn’t trying to scare anyone—he was simply too excited.

Jenn and Rob decided to help him practice staying calm. Rob would ring the shop bell while Jenn reminded Sorivax to take a deep breath before greeting the customer. At first small bursts of fire still slipped out, but with patience and practice Sorivax slowly learned to control his excitement.

Eventually, when the bell rang and Rob entered the shop again, Sorivax calmly smiled and said, “Welcome to my shop.” This time, no flames appeared. Soon the townspeople returned, and Sorivax was finally able to share his trinkets with happy customers—just as he had always hoped. 🐉✨
